A few quick photos from the past two days, slipping out for some bird action in the morning before work. Wilson’s Snipe is a lifer for me seen out on 8 Mile Road on Friday. The orangie has been frequenting the beans on the neighbor’s palm tree but has mostly escaped my frame. The Ash-throated Flycatcher is only my second sighting of this bird and it was so kind to sit still for a couple moments in good light.
Also seen recently, Black & White Warbler at Lafitte’s Cove and a female Painted Bunting in the back yard about 4 days ago.
Lovely detail.

What a sweet looking little bird, with a ‘furry’ looking face. Love the hint of color along the wing.
When do you start seeing oodles of migrants?
