Iconic member of the wood warblers with that distinct black mask. I made 9 different migrant songbirds in the oak behind the garage in about 50 minutes yesterday morning before work. Not photographed (successfully) were Kentucky Warbler (lifer), Hooded Warbler, Northern Parula, and Black and White Warbler. This is Spring Migration in all its glory. And keep in mind that these birds just completed a 750 mile overnight flight from Yucatan (most likely) to the UTC.
